Who are our Clients?

As well as creating bespoke work for an established database of private clients home and abroad, we love collaborating and so have become known for working with a broad range of industry specialists, from architects, interior designers, builders and furniture designers to fashion designers, writers and illustrators.

The majority of our work is from returning clients and their recommendations to friends, family and colleagues.

Bespoke Furniture Design

We design fitted and freestanding bespoke furniture for every room in the house, and love the choice we can offer by embracing the rainbow of styles, genres and materials. A common misconception is that we only design for timber projects. Though we do love working with timbers we also design furniture in many other materials; glosses, glasses, metals and fabrics and we're always on the lookout for exciting new possibilities, especially those which are environmentally positive. 

Our inhouse team shares creativity and inspiration and the Davenport studio environment is energetic, enjoyable and dynamic.  Our designers enjoy many complimenting talents - for instance Mick is also a mastercraftsman and Carolyn an artist and writer. We find working openly between creative specialities has opened the door to the most exciting ideas and opportunities which have become known as unique to Davenport.

As of 2010 all our furniture contains a special heart symbol to show the unique passion and care injected into all our work.

Bespoke Furniture Manufacture

We are truly bespoke in our manufacturing, and as well as creating work that we have designed we manufacture for other kitchen designers and furniture designers on work for their clients homes and development of new concept pieces.

Many of our cabinetmaking team have been with us for over twenty-five years and are now passing their skills to new apprentices in the method of mastercraftsman to student. As well as  honouring traditional  skills such as these we are constantly looking ahead to ensure we keep up with modern manufacturing opportunity. Our workshop is based in the heart of Nottingham and we have developed strong relationships with a handpicked selection of highest quality designer-makers specialising in lots of techniques so we can offer ultimate choice.

We are passionate about being environmentally positive and are currently working with the Nottingham Trent University on their Future Factory Project for sustainability, and developing new products our clients can use in their homes to be green with greater ease and enjoyment.

Furniture and Kitchen Renovation

Here at Davenport we hate waste, and love old items which have developed in character and depth over time. As part of our project to be the most environmentally positive we are now offering a service whereby we can refresh existing furniture. 

This can include:
Refreshment of cabinetry - feeding and rejuvinating wood
Design, Make and Fitting of replacement doors
Sourcing, specification and installation of new Worktops or Appliances
Adding to existing cabinetwork.
Interior design of surrounding area

Interior Design

Our inhouse design team can work with you to find your dream scheme for every room in the home. As well as having a database of beautiful ideas we can share with you we are constantly talking to fellow designers and trawling design shows around the world to find inspiration and discover the most original and beautiful new products and possibilities, often even before they hit the magazines. If what you want doesn't yet exist - whether a mirror, a lamp, a chair, a fabric or a floorcovering - we'll design and make it for you!

Architectural Specification

We have an architectural technician in-house, and also work with a database of very exciting, visionary architects who share our passion and care who we love to collaborate with to make your home environment inspiring and fulfilling.

Project Management

In our thirty-two years we have worked on many size of project and have developed strong relationships with a fabulous database of architects, builders, electricians, tilers, plumbers, sound experts and the rest. We are happy to specify and manage your entire project for you, to make your experience easy and tranquil.
